Today in Lagos

Hello Butterfly,

A happy new month to you, this is a rant post.

For a year that just started, I am of the opinion that the stress is beyond my imagination.

I mean it was the month of February, the month of love and heavy breakfast, my valentine certainly didn’t go as planned but it is what it is.

This year like every other year has had its challenges and to be honest, life isn’t going smoothly.

The current issue of the moment is electricity, our popularly known NEPA or should I say PHCN has refused to distribute electricity to where it is most needed ( most especially in my area, cause I live in the trenches).

The past few days has been hell for me cause asides from the long endless queue at the fuel station, I have also been slacking in my call of duty ( i haven’t been able to meet up with work), I barely even sleep at night anymore, it funny cause I keep hoping the lights would pop up so I can get to it and do other things but no way…it got me rethinking the whole remote job thing but then I don’t see myself stepping out on a Monday morning to battle Lagos traffic… Not me fam

If you stay in Lagos at this moment, I sympathize with you.

Bear with us as this happens to be a Nigeria/Lagos tradition, hopefully, it gets better as they have promised (hahaha).

But for now, enjoy the madness in this city.

How has the year been going for you?

How many days have you been without light in your area of residence?

Does the traffic on the Third mainland bridge make sense to you?

Please share your thoughts, I'm losing it.
